I am new here. I meant to introduce myself, but I have a crisis so there's no time.
My credit card company froze my card because of some sort of fraud alert. I don't know whether it's really fraud or not, but they want me to call them. I have been gradually losing my hearing, and it's to the point where I can't really talk on the phone anymore (especially with accents or ambient noise, and credit card companies are the worst for that). I tried calling them and couldn't understand a word.
I contacted them via the secure messaging system, but they say they can only help my via phone. They gave me the TDD number, but I don't have a TTD unit. One of them said I could use my cell phone for this, but I have no idea how.
I tried using a relay service (IP Relay) and they hung up on me 20 times in a row. TWENTY TIMES! I'm near tears and I am beyond frustrated and I don't know what to do. I don't have another adult around to help me call them, and I need my credit card to be working because it's the only one I have and I use it to buy food, gas, etc.
Help! How do I use my cellphone to call a TDD line? (It's an iPhone if that matters)
I wish there were a book you could buy when you lose your hearing that tells you how to function. I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know who to ask.
