How are you feeling today? Part II

Feel better, Reba!

I myself am fighting a sinus infection. I thought I picked up a bug, but it's a sinus infection. The whole right side of my face hurts. Owie :(
Sinus pain is bad enough without the additional infection. Do you use one of those antibiotic packs to get rid of the infection? That's what TCS does for his sinus infections, and it seems to work well.

I hope it works for you. Constant nausea is the pits. Bleh!

Yes, Domperidone take more time to work and it isn't instant relief as Reglan did, but it won't cause tardive dyskinesia. I'm starting to eat less if I get full easily due to slow emptying and overfeeding. Reglan is just like Thorazine that works fast, but Domperidone is just like Prozac that need take more time to be effective and side effects will be disappeared as body adjust to new medicine.

Reglan made me moving a lot and I had to stay in bed - messing with comforter, felt tremor and shaky. It went disappeared after I stopped Reglan and worried about could be diagnose with TD.

Of course, constant nausea is painful and I feel better by not eating or drinking at all, beside water.

Yeah, side effects can be an issue with medications.

When I eat, I eat small bites, very slowly, with lots of pauses. I drink lots of water because I have trouble swallowing. Food is beginning to taste a little weird, too. Meal times just aren't fun anymore.

After I took Dexilant, I noticed that most foods aren't delicious anymore as before and caused me to consume a lot of sugar or French bread with butter to satisfy the taste buds. I found pretty all bagged cookies taste bad - not sure if it was just me or FDA ban on trans fat.

I cannot take antidepressant or antipsychotic medicines anymore due to high risk of TD so therapy is only recommended for me.

My father retired on May 1st and I enjoyed to spent big breakfast with him at IHOP, Cracker Barrel, Golden Rule, Edgar's Bakery and any places that serve breakfast weekly. It is painful to wake up early and moving a lot when I was on Reglan.

WDYS - answerng your question - can't quite tell. Soemtimes seems to, sometimes not-

I had a client that had PD and had to drink all her meals , she had instant breakfast drinks with ice cream added to them . She was in her 90's her mind was a sharp as a
tack. That too bad you can't can enjoy your meals anymore.

@dogmom , I heard having sinus infection and effect your hearing , I know when I get a cold it effect my hearing.
I hope you and Reba will feel better fast !

Aggravated. The sheet rock guy was supposed to be here at 9 a.m. It is now almost 11 a.m. This is the second one we hired because the first one never showed up or called back (after two weeks). I'm getting very discouraged about this home repair.

I'm not that bad yet. I hope it doesn't get worse for a long time.

. . .

Thanks. :)

My understanding is that the reason you are hiring someone to do it is the size of the job and the amount of time it would take TCS to do it? Am I correct that he knows how to do it but this is such a big job that you guys decided to hire it done?

Yes, TCS can do basic sheetrock work but this job is more involved. The dining room ceiling would require hoisting and holding the panels overhead and working on a ladder in an uncomfortable position. The rest of the repairs are patches which require a fine touch to hide them just right. Also, it's dusty work and TCS has been having terrible time with his sinus headaches, even though he wears a dust mask whenever he does any kind of work. His body is beginning to feel its age (64), so he's having to cut back on some types of work. (He still does more physical labor than a lot of guys half his age but he has limits.)

At the time we hired them we didn't anticipate so many scheduling problems. TCS works services for the public, and when he makes appointments he always shows up and keeps on time. I guess we expected as much from the people we hire. Maybe that's expecting too much.

What kind of reputations do they have? Were you able to check on them before hiring them?

I did get antibiotics, but it was different this time than what I've gotten in the past for the same thing. Different doctor, that may be why. It seems to be taking a long time to get over this (over a week already!)

They were both referrals, and they each had come to the house to give estimates and discuss the work. They did say that they were very busy. I'd have to ask TCS for the details on them because I stayed out of it.

Sigh . . . almost 11:30.

That does seem too long.

No it's not expecting too much. If anything seems like these days people aren't expecting as much or too little. I get that they may have been super busy but in that case they should have at least called to let you know what was going on...

@AlleyCat- Ew on the sinus infection.. I had one some years ago that lasted 3-4 weeks. The antibiotic I was on was the nastiest tasting one I've ever had- wrecked my appetite and taste for a while. I was supposed to take a nasal spray (Flonase) but never took it... I don't do well with stuff in my nose like sprays or tubes :P. Probably why it took longer to heal.
Hope you heal quick!

I am feeling excited for my road trip coming up soon.
