First of all, i am sorry they must have served you the wrong meat.

hot dog and sausage are not the same kind. i dont know which one you talk about hot dog or sausage?

Yes, I know what hotdog is about... It's an exact what I tried... hotdog with mustard but my American co-workers ate hotdog with mustard, tomatoe pickle relish and mayo.

There're type of sausage like hotdog (American sausage), weiner (German sausage), penis as sausage :naughty:, etc.

Yes, that's picture of German sausages... (there're alot of German sausage type).. My hubby loves it... :barf:

Why not, I will try US hotdog when I'm in the USA for vacation again... ;)

I used to love to eat hot dogs but not anymore because it caused my high blood pressure very high because of the hot dog's sodium. (Too much salt in there!) I remember I checked the sodium on the label and it says 1 hot dog contains 380mg of sodium!!! :-o Isn't that A LOT for a hot dog?

gotcha. if you come to USA again, and try the right brand of hotdog. if not thats OK no big deal. hahah

:giggle: yeah... I have only eaten once an american hot dog (yeah!!!) and that was on my visit in Atlanta where I went to see the Braves play... Not sure what was on it but A LOT OF STUFF I usually can't eat! I was sick all night but I remember it tastes yummies...

I have a very bad bile and stomach and have to watch out what I am eating :(

Jamie

(PS. Who is also bored and can't wait to watch WAT in about half an hour!!!)
The one you had at the Braves game must be the kosher hot dog - that is kind of thick. I believe they had another name for it - Jumbo. I grew up attending many Braves games at the old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and Turner Field (aka. The Ted). :)

I usually eat Oscar Meyer's (sp?) all-beef most of times. I like Nathan's but not too well to eat on daily basis.

Boar's Head skinless hot dogs are pretty good too - they are somewhat expensive.

^as said Brian I seriously don't remember. It's was HUGE with lots of cabbage and fat, but I still liked it no matter how sick I was afterwards <giggle>.

Jamie

Hot dogs are not really known to be loaded with sugar. But SALT is a different sorry!

Talking about a salty dog.. :naughty:

That cabbage is called sauerkraut. It's pickled cabbage.

I am suppose to be going to Germany in September for 2 weeks for work.

While I am there is there anything I should try or see that's only in Germany. I will be in Celle, Germany and will only have a 2 day weekend but every afternoon after 5pm ,I guess, I am free.

I remember few years ago, my American co-worker invited us to celebrate her birthday... American sausage taste no meat but too much sugar... :barf: I never touch US sausage again ever I tried for a first time few years ago...
You probably had a bad brand. They have many different brands of sausages. They also have different kinds of sausages. There's smoked, italian, regular, etc.

Don't let one sausage stop you from trying other American sausages. :)
