Whoooa a new Honda-killer from CHEVY! Chevy just unveiled the new Cobalt last Monday at the LA Auto Show to replace the 20+ year old Cavalier.

It will come with 3 motors: 145 hp 4 cylinder, 170 hp 2.4 VTEC-type 4 cylinder and a 200 hp Supercharged 4 cylinder all linked to either a 4 speed automatic or 5 speed stick-shift. (the 145hp and the supercharged motors are the same as Saturn ION's motors.)

It comes either as 2 door or 4 door and the kicker is both can be had with SS trim! (18-inch wheels, MP3 player, AC, leather everything!)

Make mine a SS-Supercharged coupe w/5-speed stickshift and I'll consider it along with the 2K5 Dodge Magnum SXT wagon, Ford Five-Hundred or Pontiac G6 for my next car after the ZX2 Escort's paid off ;)

So....Honda has met a true competition, along with the Neon SRT-4, with the Cobalt SS-Supercharged. It does look like the domestics are getting much better in the sport-compact car scene this year.

Looks like a nice car. I wouldn't mind getting that car.
