:party:A big Texas Howdy and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!

I’m coming to you out of North Dallas, Texas, 43yrs old originally from Houston, HOH since 2yrs of age due to Spinal Meningitis. I’ve been wearing BTE HAs in both ears since 5yrs old, married to a hearing person for 22 yrs and have two hearing teenage boys.

I get by with the HAs and lip reading don’t know ASL, hearing is progressively getting worst 90% loss in Left, 70% in Right figured it’s time to upgrade to the latest or get implants.

Been on the site for a couple of weeks now and I’m amazed at how many courageous, optimistic and adventurous people are on this site. Never had deaf friends that could relate to my world so I’m glad I found the site.
