WOOO HOOOOOOO.. I just got a JOB for 2 and half month as a summer camp counselor for the special needs kids/adults!!!! I'm thrilled - first time experience for summer camp counselor! WOO HOOO!! I just got that e-mail. :)





Have you ever been a camp counselor ?? I'm curious of your experiences if you have any experiences being a camp counselor.
 
Congratulations!! You will love it!!!

I used to be a camp counselor for kids/adults with special needs for a few summers and truly loved it! I loved being out in the nature with others and doing camp stuff :)

Im jealous of you! Enjoy it while you can!
 
Congradulation and good luck!!! I used to work for the special needs adult. I even met a few deaf mental retarded and one is hard to communicate and the other not so bad. Yes they do know sign language. :D

I used to work with developmental disablities for the senior citizens and I loved working with the clients. I also have a delayed disabled brother, some of you already know that or seen the pic of us somewhere. :) I'm looking forward to work with the special needs clients. :)

i am teacher aide with MRDD ( mental retarded developmental disabition) (not right to spelling it out) .... the reason why i like to work wtih MR kids , cause it remind of my brother who is handicapped , dwarf.. that why i like to work with them.. fun, enjoy , love to see their smile and laughing! , etc.. :)

That's a great rolling job that you will have. Sounds so much fun if you ask me. I love camping when I was younger and I am sure you would be a very good camp counselor. :hug:

I was experience working Deaf Camp at Parry Sound, Ontario for seasonal only.

Pretty lot of challenge w/H.C.

Teenager group/youth/young children.

Working there for 3 mos when I was 17 yrs old to 20 that is it becuase cannot go back work due I have a child. So focus on my kid come first.

I do miss Deaf Camp.. I did send my children went staying Deaf Camp and came back home.. They were telling me about Deaf Camp... really LOVE IT..

They want go Deaf Camp this year but can't.. due save our money to goal buy a country house and also will plan family camping at peele island.
