I know deaf ed resources in Nevada suck. They started a School for the Deaf in Las Vegas years ago, but it closed
You COULD see about attending MSSD. Then you could learn by immersian.
http://www3.gallaudet.edu/mssd.html They welcome new signers. You might also be able to attend California School for the Deaf as an out of state student. (not sure how that would work, but just throwing it out ) Next summer you could attend a Deaf camp and learn ASL!
http://www3.gallaudet.edu/clerc-cen...l-resources-and-directories/summer-camps.html There's all kinds....state school based, religious, sports, Christian/Catholic and traditional....all of them welcome new signers! Maybe contact Nevada State Association for the Deaf? I just found this!
http://www.dcnv.org/ Hope this helps..... Try and fight for a place at MSSD. It would be hard boarding, but you'd be in Washington DC and you would have an AMAZING time...you'd also get to become fluent in ASL, and really experience Deaf culture!
