High School Reunion

I enjoyed my jr hs reunion much better than my HS reunion . That day we had blast , dancing and being totally crazy . We grew up together and seeing each other for the first time in like 30 years was just incredible! I would love another jr HS reunion again.

Interesting, I never heard about class reunion at elementary school nor middle school.

My old elementary school is all black school nowadays, but it used to be 50% white and 50% black in 80s.

.

Neither did I. I back when I was that age where I lived we had 7 elementary schools scattered across town that were 1-8 (no city school kindergarden).

It was something my friend put together. I did go to HS with some of them but we feel bonded as a jr high class . My HS reunion was kinda boring lol

My sister went to private school when she was in 6th to 8th grade.

but... her private school closed last year and luckily, she didn't went to this school for high school or it will be difficult to get transcript.

Graduated in '64...most all my classmates were 18 and up (a few 22)...and I was 15....not too much in common there....

My private (catholic) school is still alive. My mom, aunt and uncles went there as well. There are non religious private schools around like Montessori Schools . Those schools stop at Jr high.

My sister's private school was baptist and they closed after decline of church attendance - it went downhill after massive white flight in 90s and 2000s.

Sorry to hear about that . I know some states segregation still exist. They had their reasons to close down.

I guess so but she didn't regret because she had bad experience with baptist school.

I remember about catholic school - I think that school uniform is mandatory but in baptist school, most cases, school uniform isn't mandatory but their dress code is strict like no rainbow shirt.

My sister got suspended for hugged her boyfriend and my parents were upset but they decided not punish her at home because she got spanked at school and they know that religious school is strict, but they have no choice - we used to live in city that where all public school are 99% black and racial tension is really bad - no diverse.

In here, it is nearly impossible to find private school that isn't religious.

Just curious, you went to all girl school or just coed school?

don't feel bad I missed my 10th h.s reunion back in 2009... actually i supposed to graduate either 1996 or 1997 but it's long story 20th will roll by when 2019 comes by I will be 41 by then lol.. don't mind my username... I made a promise to alex I will never change often and that worked for him :) I was 36 back in 2014 so.. :D

I would had been BS if a teacher laid a hand on my child !

went to a catholic grade school 1-8, the nuns smaked your hands with rulers, went to public school K & finished 8th, the principle spanked your ass with a paddle. Mom and dad busted out asses with belts... and so Ive never been in trouble with the law. My dad sat me down one day when I started going out with school friends and this is what he told me.
You get arrested for something you didnt do you can call home and Ill come get you... BUT if you get arrested for something you did, dont bother calling home. so, I was the good kid.... missed out on a lot of fun...lol

A junior high reunion? That's interesting; I've never heard of one. You must have been in a close community.

Most of my 12 schools don't even exist anymore.

I went to public schools. Some of my friends from public elementary school went on to Catholic private school for high school. That was sad when we parted ways.

In this area, in addition to public and charter schools, there are private secular schools, private Catholic schools, a private Jewish school and private Christian schools, and most of them go from pre-kindergarten thru high school.

Our church's Christian school is integrated so race is not a factor in attendance.

Our Christian school students wear uniforms.
