Hi! My name is Carter. I became Deaf 4 years ago and am looking to get involved in the Deaf community. I moved to North Carolina last year. I can hold a conversation in ASL but I am by no means fluent...will get there one day [=
 
Hi! I'm looking at life as a deaf person in the near future.
I'm in NC, and I'm really hesitant to reach out, but this post was fairly recent and seemed to be a situation more like mine.
I feel really stupid here...so...hello? Does that work as a decent start?
