FUN FUN FUN! :p

7 years now...but I have been in the field as a teacher's aide, internships, practicums, and volunteering for about 14 years now.
^WOW, that's amazing! You have a lot of experience it seems like :) :) :)

FUN FUN FUN! :p

Well, I am 37 years old so the older one gets, the more experience one gets if they stay in the same field. :giggle:

Hi - welcome! BTW, your pic is sooo cute! I bet you do have a great personality and are lots of fun. Glad to have you here.

Yeah, I was a bit bored in the car....haha. My mom looked over at me and asked what I was doing. hahaha.

:ty: xspinning, you wrote a very wise thing.....I think you will make a great mentor wherever you go :D

Also, :ty: for your ideas....I am no longer in college, graduated w/B.A. in Sociology and Spanish in '95. Worked initially with adults w/dementia and then was Case Manager for some some time working w/adults with cognitive disabilities, with autism spectrum, CP., etc. I have math-related LD which was diagnosed in '90 after continuously failing remedial college math and was getting tired of not knowing why I was having difficulty with reading clocks and figuring out my bank account. I had many accommodations in college - special math calculator, untimed/separate testing for math classes, advance registration, access to special tutors and a math class for students with LD, access to other things if needed through Disabled Student Services Office. I was also a reader through same office for people with dyslexia, and I tutored international students in English classes. In college is where I met husband who is oral deaf, wears BTE HA's.

Still have difficulty w/"left" and "right", oral/multiple instructions, money, measurements < don't know 'em>, telling time, much math, etc.

How did you end up being math tutor?

Oh, no. I went to a math tutor because I was struggling with my Math in college. I used to be so good at it in high school, but then I'm in college, and kaboom. I suck. haha.

But thank you for the compliment! I do wish to be a mentor, so I appreciate that! And I'm glad college is in your past now. College is too stressful. I can't wait to be done with it. hahah.

ahhh, no you don't, xpsinning!

But I was never good at math! :)

oh yeah, I think we both could say plenty about our experiences being tutored in math! Does the tutoring help?

You live in dorms of off-campus?

I live off campus right now. I'm going to move out after I transfer to a diff college. And no, the tutoring didn't help. haha.

Nope, I just don't know what to call them because I don't know if it is a boy or a girl.

Later on, you can't wait to get divorced and be single once again...that happens sometimes.
