Hi Reba, Are you okay ?????

it's just minor quake. but want to hear from her if she had experience from shake or what? there is no injury or serious. i bet she is alive and well! :)

I bet she is OK too. When we have had minor quakes here in Maryland, many people do not realize that it was a quake...usually feels like a large truck driving by and the building will shake. I've never had my house shake from a truck before, so I dont know what those people are talking about ;)

Yeah Of course, I am sure Reba is okay, she may have a good story to tell that happened or pictures that she took after the earthquakes. Still, it is good to check and make sure somebody is okay after a natural diseaster. All it takes is for one book or a vase or something to fall on somebody's head and be in the emergency room recieveing medical treatment, even in a minor earthquake so it is still good to check and see how Reba is doing. God Bless

Hey Taylor, it's good to see you again! :)

I'm sure she's all right, most magitude 3 to 4 earthquakes only cause wake ups, nothing major. I've been thru a 6.8, 7.1, 4.0, 3.5 something and other I forget. so far I've been thru about 5 quakes that I can count so far. The last quake I went thru was a 6.8 in 2001 here in Seattle. It sure rattled the area but only one died that wasn't earthquake related death.

That's very sweet of everyone to be concerned. Thank you. :P

To be honest, I didn't know anything about an earthquake until I read this thread!

South Carolina does get many earthquakes; most are minor. The "big one" was in 1886 ( Charleston, SC Earthquake ). It pretty much destroyed Charleston.

Since we have lived here, I've felt or heard several earthquakes, just minor. The loudest one sounded like a huge tree falling and hitting the ground (our earthquakes are fast and sharp, not rolling). One earthquake cracked part of our brick foundation around the garage, and cracked the glass liner of our water heater. That's all.

We've been told that someday Charleston will have another "big one". The main fault line goes thru my area, not too far from my neighborhood. We even have a street called "Fault Line".

Today's quake was in the northeastern part of the state. I live near Charleston, on the southeastern coastal plain.

I didn't see this thread until today...

I'm glad that you are okay, Reba.

Oh Reba, I didn't know about this thread until now also... But yes did hear about that. I'm glad your ok also:)

Thanks guys but the quake was over 150 miles away. :P

We had an earthquake this morning. It was a 3.6, not strong. But it was surprising! Hubby and I were in the kitchen at 7:42 a.m., when we heard and felt it. Boom--shake--boom!

In South Carolina? Didn't see anything on CNN.com. You guys alright?
