I have been involved in the Deaf Community for 30 years. I have wanted to become an interpreter for such a long time but have been unable to attend a program due to my teaching career. I am now retired & applied for the ASLIE program at NTID but was not accepted. I have Teacher of the Deaf Certification along with 4 other cerifications & 3 degrees. Since it is difficult to get into a degree program, I have been searching for a non-degree program that I can attend to become an interpreter. I prefer an Online program. I have been unable to find any but I have a passion for this & can't seem to stop thinking about this. No matter my age, I want to pursue this. It is ithe desire of my heart.
