hello I am new and a bit nervous please excuse me if this has been done before

I am looking to make some new friends in the deaf community I am currently going to school and studying asl but to be honest it doesn’t stick unless I can use it more often I would love to get to know more of the deaf culture

I am a mom of two children and well I want to show them this horse doesn’t need to be put to pasture yet I am trying to get my ba in sign language interpretation

I want to do something passionate and something I love and that is sign language I want to be a legal advocate for the deaf community

Plunging into a new language and culture can be scary but you can do it. Just keep an open mind, a sense of humor, and remember, "It's not all about you," and you'll do fine.
