I would like to introduce myself to the deaf community.I name is Rhinah and I am proudly deaf.I've been deaf all my life, it is hard but we have to accept ourself nomatter what.Being a deaf is not a failure,do not let yourself down in whatever you do only becayse you are deaf.Today I am currently doing Master of Earth Science in a University,I got my Honours degree in 2005.I work hard to fulfil my dreams,I dont let my disability to let me down.To me,it is a blessing.Sometimes I wonder if I would've been where I am today if I were not deaf.Armed with one hearing aid and leapreading,I want to spread my wings and fly to whereever I would like to reach.To all deaf people out there,be proud of yourself.You are very special in the eyes of God even if people take advantage of you.You can be whatever you dream to be,whatever you want to be.

Welcome to AD... do not give up your dream.... I am proud of you.. I was HOH almost all my life until about 5 yrs ago I am fully deaf... It does not bother me at all... My parents and cousins were deaf too...

inspiration! It is interesting because I was thinking today, I have never really pursued greatness because I was always afraid of not "hearing" In reality, that was just a crutch I used because I have no idea what my dreams are:crazy:
