Hi Everyone! :)

Welcome to AD and enjoy ur visit :D Good luck with the long term CI equipment, I hope u enjoy it. :D

sequoias: Thanks! :) So far, I'm really enjoying all of the new sounds I'm hearing with my CI! It was a difficult adjustment at first because of how loud everything was, but it's getting better and better every day. :)

Thanks, Wendy! :) My next mapping is scheduled for Tuesday. I don't know for sure yet, but I might have a hearing test to find out how well I'm hearing with my CI. My audiologist said it's not uncommon for people to hear as well as 20-30 dB with their CI. That amazed me! I can't remember the last time my audiogram had thresholds in that range. LOL! If I do have a hearing test, I think I'm going to frame the audiogram. :)

your Welcome HearAgain,

Yea you could do that.. I am sure you will have few more mapping until you finally feel satisfied with the right sound for both or one of each.. I use two different sounds One for phone I don't use it often or with headphone music, other one for general but I have notice I am comfortable with T-Mic more often because It also keep my voice lower and I understood a little better than without T-Mic on..

By the way Hear Again,

Wendy: You mentioned having a T-mic on your speech processor. Do you have the HiRes 90K implant with Auria BTE? How long have you had your CI?

Hi again Wendy: I've had two mappings so far during the week and a half my CI has been activated. I'm scheduled for a 2 week follow-up appointment on Tuesday. After that, I will have additional mappings when needed and see my audiologist again at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, a year -- and then annually.

HEar Again,

I have CII was implanted on July 6, 2001 then turn on Aug 26 (maybe wrong date but will check my file). Since then I love it, I never turn it off :D

I even sleep with it when I stayed overnight with my son for his surgery on Nov 3, 2003 then treatments during 2004. and Last stay overnight was Jan 5th. I was glad to be home. so everytime his IV buzz, I page nurse to replace the Fluid.. cuz sean slept thru (tsk tsk LOL)..

Also sometime nurse ask me to help her when Sean was very stubborn to go bathroom every 2 hours.. so They call me IM like Oh ok, i ll get up but most of time sean does get up right away.. :)

yes T-Mic work for auria, 90k, CII and I think CI I heard someone use CI with T-Mic they said it improved a bit.

so then I lost in touch with some of CI user due of so busy with my son's treatment which was over! And I got 1 year old son too.

Oh I found my Earobic I was soo thrill that I will be able to use it AGAIN.. I kind of miss using this software :D
