My name is Lee. I'm 58, & live in the midwest U.S. Recently, I suddenly lost all hearing in my right ear. On January 15th, I was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (it's a little worse in my right ear than my left one). I was prescribed, & am currently in the process of taking, a 7-day round of prednisone (three 20 mg. tablets in a single daily dose) to see if it helps my hearing. I'm happy to report that after taking it for about a day & a half, the hearing in my right ear has returned. I have an appointment to go back to have a repeat audiogram & ear exam on January 31st.
