Hello,

my name is brian from the suburbs of chicaco. Just lookin for a place where I can learn about my new disability. Just became Hard of Hearing this year (i'm 19)... lived with perfect hearing til an addiction took it away from me. I am completely deaf in my right ear, and moderate hearing loss in my left. I can hear moderately well with hearing aids. I don't know sign or how to read lips... anyone got any hints/tips or places to start researching this?

thanks... I became deaf in january... still adjusting to my new lifestyle..

Get involved with the deaf clubs up in Chicago, there's plenty of things to do with deafies up there.
