Heteroflexible: Girls kissing girls is the latest trend

But wouldnt this blatant openess of sexuality get you discharged in the US military? (I personally believe that it is wrong as non-military employers cannot discriminate based on sexuality but yet the military can - double standard.)

Don't ask, don't tell.:giggle:

but asking out officers and staff and other higher ranked personell would be like saying "Hey I openly admit I am gay in the military!" In a situation like that you have to be careful because women can take on masculine MOS and still be straight as it was in your case. BTW - how long did you serve?

Well, at the risk of dating myself, this occured in 1975 and 1976. The inner social workings went something like this: If you were gay, in order to hide that aspect of your life, you dated NCOs (noncommisioned officers) openly in order to have a cover if anyone accussed you of being gay. Then you had another life for you and your lover/lovers. I have overheard many lesbian couples arguing over one had to break a date with a particular straight or not. Generally if you were a gay person who had excellent work ethics, even the straights would cover for you, because the most important aspect of being on the team was the mission. Respect for your ability to keep the team safe was the primary issue, not your sexuality.

I only served two years active duty and 8 years guard. I was assaulted while serving in the military and had back surgery which eventually led to my disability.

No, but they aren't "Lipstick Lesbians." Just very drunk and confused, and looking for that 15 minutes of fame wherever they can find it..:giggle: A "Lipstick Lesbian" is a very feminine appearing lesbian that most would take for staright because of her feminine appearance. There are those that still buy into the stereotypes of all lesbians being butchie in appearance.

zzz, got some experience in this?
