*Help XBOX360* (xbox360 user) *Knowledge*

Yes they have Xbox 360 , My boys are 16, 12 and 7...We keep an eye on our 12 years old while hes on it, but hes usually play with his brother who is 16..and my 7 years old isn't allowed to play he has his own gamecube in his room and games for his age...

Oh, I got it...

Just curious, are you support on rating (ESRB) like not allowed 7 years old boy to play Teen or Mature games? I remember about long time, when I was younger and ESRB is used to called "K-A" as Kids to Adults but doesn't display anymore.

We don't have Xbox 360 games here. We are strict against it because we beleive their education comes first before games. What we have is Play Station, PS2 and computer games is good enough. If they want to have more then they have to save up from their pocket money.

My boys have Play Station and PS2 but they want to have Xbox 360 games. We said firm no. Danny borrow Xbox 360 from his best friend to use it in my house for few days. Danny said that there're cons and pros between Xbox 360 and PS2 because PS2 can use DVD to play, watch on TV or listen music, but Xbox 360 doesn't. Play games with Xbox 360 is great than PS2.
Of course I saw it and find it's not bad but I still firm No and suggest him to save up from their pocket money if he want to have Xbox 360.

Just let you know that Xbox 360 in USA can play DVD movies and listen music.

How old are your children? If they are older enough then ask them to find part-time job and save money for send on something, is it bad idea?

I got Xbox 360 as gift from my parent.

Liebling, Did you know that games are part of educations? and even if your son want his father play with him video games, their relationship as father-son would be improve communcation, build their trusts and enjoy it eachothers.. that is postive things.. it is education and relationship too.. that how My older son jr and I had improved our relationship-communcations in our better trusts. I learned it from therapist who adviced me about it. i thanked therapist.

Yup, some of them are so but Xbox 360 don't offers education games right now, only goes on DS and few on PS2 and Gamecube.

I think that she want traditional education to be #1, not electronic learning or something.

Also....Most important watch the DVD drives on the 360's. Especially a month or 2 after I got each 360, the DVD drives will read my movies, but not my games for it. If that happens u will find a white screen that says "To play this game please insert it into an Xbox 360 console" even though u have inserted a 360 disc in the drive.

The 360's great but gotta make sure you have trouble-free playing on the 360 as its more sensitive to breakdowns than the original xbox (tough as anvil I say so lol) I did love the 360, but 2 broken DVD drives? So for me enough was enough with broken DVD drives so I traded the 3rd replacement 360, that I only held on for 24 hours, for a PS3.

Pacman and XBGMER,

Due the respect of GA's thread, I would not make :topic: post here to answer your question since GA need our feedback/tips to help her knowledge how to do with games. (Yes I realized that I made :topic: here in first place that's how you both answered my post). I will create a new thread with new title to answer your questions under Parental Section.

Video Games raise hand-eye coordination, and decison making. I am not going to say ANY Game will do this to anyone. Some games are worthwhile, educational, but a majority are mindless fun, often violent.
I would restrict my kids to mostly sports games, and be very observant of any other games they want to play. No kid of mine is ever playing GTA -type games until he is 18.

What about MGS3? Would you let your kids play that?

Yes I second that.
