Hi,
My name is Kate and I am a college student, a full time employee, a wife and a mother. I am hearing, but have had the experience of using ASL since I was a toddler. Now that I am a mom I have been teaching my son ASL, who is 2.5 years old, since he was a few months old.
I have recently been hired as a counselor in a deaf group home for teens who are emotionally disturbed. I am planning on taking as many ASL classes at my local Junior College as possible with my current school schedule, family schedule and work schedule. Currently I have level 2 skills...I think.
I hope to meet some new friends.
