Just taking a moment to say hello, and introduce myself as this forum suggests. I go by Kaila, I am a single mother of 3 hearing kids. I have lost my hearing when I was 3, was severe to profound hearing loss. I've had 15 surgeries to repair my hearing each time it was lost, but a total of 19 surgeries to date, two more were for CIs and 2 were C-Sections. I suppose I know my way around an OR better than Merideth Grey. Wore hearing aids up until my hearing retired 3 years ago, got my first Cochlear implant (Advanced Bionics). Became bilateral 2 years ago. Deafness runs in my biological family. I was given up for adoption when I was born. Um... not much else to say except I am also an artist by trade.
