I'm an inspiring author, working on my very first novel! I can hear, but I'm writing for a deaf character, and I since I don't know anyone who's lost their hearing personally, I was hoping to read a few experiences with life, without your hearing? I'm really curious, and I'd love to know anything you want to share! Anything from how you've chosen to commmunicate to the ups and the downs - anything! Thank you very much! This means an awful lot to me!

What kind of deaf character? Age? Sex? Interests? Occupation?

Person born deaf?

Late deafened?

A lot of variables, all affecting the life of the character, could occur.

So... I hate to be "that guy"... Well, not really. Actually, it gives me some pleasure, being "that guy."

I think the word you're looking for is "aspiring," not "inspiring." Just throwing that out there to an "inspiring author."

;)

Good luck in your endeavors.
