Hello.

My name is Brittany, Im not sure if Im posting in the right section...
Im new, so correct me if Im wrong!

I'm 18. I'm hearing, I took a 2year course of ASL.
And Im looking for some friends of the Deaf community
in my area, who would like to hang out and help me
progress in learning ASL. I love this language and
would love to know as much as possible and be involved.

Last time I heard that there are not many deaf people live in Florida, except those big cities, like Miami, Orlando, Jax, Tampa Bay, and few others. I think you might need to go to deaf clubs in Orlando area to interact with deaf people. That would improve your asl, only if you are not too shy.

Im extremelyyyyyyy shy!!

I met some Deaf friends in an Arcade called "Rocky's Reply"
And I used to see them a lot!! And I just coughed up the courage
to talk to them last time I saw them... and I have seen them
in weeks. :'(

Im sure Ill find some more friends. :)
I just have to keep looking. :fingersx:

well we dont bite hard lol. Welcome to alldeaf. I too am hearing and feel welcomed here. I took up 4 asl classes and am not helping a proff with her class. Do you have a web cam? if you do that is a good way to continue signing. Find friends online :)

That is a good way, unless you trust the person, the most important word.

Im very very very shy when it comes to using my ASL skills.
But deep down I want to use them so bad.
Since Im not fluent Im afraid Ill get laughed at.
