Hello, I'm new

Hello everyone.
I just started to learn ASL with no past experience and I'm 27 years old.
I'm hearing and interested in the Deaf culture. I would like to make new friends, but I'm kinda of shy. I do have a problem with eye contact which is something I have to break. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy and I live in Austin TX.
