Hello to everybody. My name is Rosa and I'm 23 yrs old.. I have 2 deaf children , a 3 1/2 yr old who has a bte cochlear implant and a 1 yr old who will get his on january 8, that's the day of his surgery. I signed my daughter for preschool she starts in January and she's going to be learning sign language because she didnt developed speech ( we dont know why yet) so we just want to communicate with her.. Well I'm glad I found this website.

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. Boy, you will be in a hot debate if we discussed about CI and other problems that Deaf people have to go through. I hope you will learn something about us Deaf and Hard of Hearing plus CI too. You can not fix your children to be like hearing people so you will just have to accept them as they are, not change them. Listen to them when they try to explain to you whether they sign or try to talk to you. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. Have fun with us. See you around. :wave:
