Hello My name is Amanda. I myself am not deaf, but I have recently been extremely interested and inspired by the deaf community.

Please tell me the best ways to learn basic asl and more about your life
 
Welcome to the AllDeaf forum Amanda! I am glad that you are taking a interest in ASL as a language and being on AllDeaf forum is a start as there are plenty of resources you can find here especially in learning many things such as Deaf culture and American Sign Language as well. May I ask what made you to have the interest in learning ASL? I am curious.

If you need any assistance with AllDeaf forum or anything else then please do feel free to ask away around here and some of us would be more than happy to lend a hand. :)
 
Welcome, Amanda! I'm also hearing. Look for local events, bring a dry erase board with you, and start meeting people!
