Hello, I'm Giulia I'm hearing and I'm italian!
I've studied LIS (Italian Sign Language) for 2 years and I adore it. I often watch videos in ASL (only on youtube because it's the only way to reach this language in my country) even if I can't understand very much (LIS and ASL are sooooo different!). I joined this forum to know something more about ASL, how institutions support it and, why not, to find new friends :D

Buongiorno!

My Zio is Italian, from Tramonti (near the Amalfi Coast). He's an Italian chef in NYC now, but he lives part time in Italy still :) He calls me "pepper" in italian sign language because my first dSLR camera was red haha

Here you are that you are looking for a Deaf person outside of USA and you are asking Giulia about LIS already. This person is hearing just like you. Yeah, right. (sarcasm) :roll:
