Hearing individual with a deaf son. I am looking to make some deaf friends in Illinois to hang out with and attend social events. I am interested in learning more about the deaf culture and making some new friends. I know some ASL and am still learning. Hello and welcome to Alldeaf rockdrummer! Apparently it's obvious that you're a drummer, is your deaf son able to follow along with the beats/vibrations when you're playing? Anyhow, hope you'll enjoy your stay here in AD and meeting a great group of people here in AD as well! ;)

Hello and welcome! I originally come from Illinois (Chicago suburbs for 18 years, central Illinois for 2 years), though for the past 8 months I've been residing in Wyoming.

How old is your son? Are you guys North, South or West of Chicago?

He is 11 now and we are about 30 miles west of Chicago.
