Greetings and salutations from the University of North Dakota. I am a hearing person with some loss of hearing in one ear. I was born with a cleft palate and therefore had a lot of speech therapy and two years at the Universtiy of Michigan speech camp, Shady Trails. I am not in an ASL class, and I don't have any questions "due Wednesday" or any surveys that I need filled out. I do have an interest in the deaf culture because of my research of the North Dakota School for the Deaf for my master's thesis.
More about me: I currenty reside in Grand Forks, ND
Interests: Although I am a student of history, I also like to read science fiction
Occupation: "professional student" and I am a teaching assistant at the University of North Dakota
I was born in the first half of the twentieth century. :D

Welcome! You are sort of my neighbor! (I live in MN). I was born in the second half of the twentieth century. :D

Thanks for the greetings and waves - I do appreciate it. So, how far from ND are you, my young AlleyCat neighbor?

Iowa here. Also second half of the century. We visited South Dakota once.

Thanks everyone - I am still working on my history of the North Dakota School for the Deaf so keeping busy - hope to finish soon. Paul
