My name is Stevie and I'm studying to be an interpreter in California. Although I don't have deaf friends or relatives, I've had an interest in ASL from when I was young (I had a babysitter that was hoh). My mom also used sign with my brother and I from the time we were little, so there are some signs I have down, and I'm learning more every day!
Although I'm not really a part of it, I find Deaf Culture fascinating, and have enjoyed learning about it. I figure, beyond reading about it the next step is to meet people who are a part of the culture, and so I've ended up here. I hope to continue learning as much as I can, and I beg forgiveness for any mess-ups I produce ^__^. It's a pleasure to meet you all!
