Hi everyone, this is my first time joining any group for HOH and/or deafies. My name is Brett and I live in Maryland USA. I was a rubella baby at birth and consequently have moderate-severe loss in left ear and severe-profound loss in right ear and consider myself HOH. I'll write in another post about my experiences growing up mainstreamed (hearing loss not "discovered" until I was 5 years old).
It's definitely neat (and weird in a way) to find there are many people like yourself! I really wish that I would have met people like myself growing up (where were all of you!?). I've enjoyed reading some of the posts and am looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing some experiences. Until then, let people know who you really are and take care.
