Hello, all. My name is Kerry, and I've been studying ASL since my junior year in high school (almost 5 years now), where I had the most amazing teacher. I currently have an Associate's Degree in ASL and Deaf Studies, and am working towards a Bachelor's in Psychology. After that (hopefully!) I'll be studying for my Master's at Columbia University in Teaching ASL as a Second Language.

I had always thought that ASL was intriguing, but after just the first day of ASL class junior year, I completely fell in love. I would not have the skills I do today without the guidance of my high school teacher. I look forward to continuing my studies and passing along all the knowledge I have learned and will continue to learn, to future generations. ASL rocks! ;)

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. That is not that bad having a hearing person teaching ASL. Right on, ASL is rock.

Hello and welcome to Alldeaf! Glad to know you're rocking along with A.S.L. and hope you'll enjoy your stay here in AD! ;)

I'm a student, too. :) Welcome!
Have a good day of classes tomorrow and hopefully it won't be too cold walking to them! (YUCK.)

:welcome: to AD! So glad to see more and more people taking ASL in high school. Helps the Deaf community a lot in regards to educating people about Deaf culture and ASL. :)

Hey! Welcome and all you students come over to play our game called Sleight of Hand. Improve your ASL skills if you are Hearing and improve your English skills if you are Deaf. Have fun with us!
