I live in high desert of Calif so it should be alike around 100 degree everyday but we have not gotten 100 degree yet this summer. Right now it is 59 degree with 32 % humidity. In about 3 hours it should reach 90 that is it. I am enjoying it while it lasts.(USA) West coast has a different reaction.
While you guys are complaining about heat, it's actually been pretty mild and chilly here the past week. Highest were probably mid 80-85 F (26-29C) but these past 2 days, the average temp has been like mid 70's F ~23C ish.
Which is weird, since it's supposedly summer and typically that means 90-100F's on the west coast.
Jazzy, not sure where you're at but for me near LB area, past few weeks the daytime was in the higher 80's for awhile. Definitely not the same as this week.
My mother does not have A/C and she lives near coast. Last summer the temp went up to 115 few times and she had to stay over my brother's house with A/C. She won't let us kids to buy her small A/C for her home.2 have died...one woman from Philly and another in Baltimore. That's the recent info..there could be more. It is dangerous out there now because there are many power outages and people with no A/C. In CA and AZ, almost everyone has A/C due to the high heat being normal over there.
Last night the main break in the apartment building where I live, got fizzled out and it led to a three-hours long power outage.
I woke up at 5 a.m. under unbelievable and intense heat although my air conditioner was running at its maximum settings. It was 27C with humidex of 37C at that time.
Later today the temperature will reach around 34C with humidex of 43C.

Start up the fire place for a romantic (hot and steamy) evening.
Remember the guy who lived at Ikea? He lived in the store for a short time and blogged about it. They've got beds and a/c. He said that it was kind of creepy alone late at night. Better take a buddy with you.
