For some reason I cant stand watching how he sign ASL ... so feminine.

I'm not trying to flame, just interested in and trying to understand other's impressions. For sure DeafRoger is animated and expressive, but I can't detect overt femininity in his sign. Maybe it's because I'm laughing. Is there a macho sign? Is it less fluid? Delivered more deadpan? Curious.

His signing didnt seem too overly feminine to me..he is just very animated. Maybe he is doing that on purpose for the sake of the joke?

When doing a presentation, many ASLers changed the fluidity of their signs. There is a terminology for that..I cant remember.

Btw, HASL was voted on and adopted for all hearing people except for hearing certified ASL interpreters! :giggle:
 
I ran this link twice and kept getting cut off in the same place. I went up as far as the HASL part but what was the reason for HASL?? Please explain in details. Thank you!

Stereotype - that was not necessary.
I don't care if he is married, divorced, single, widowed. I just couldn't stand watching how he sign. It is just my opinion. So Be It!

Tousi was trying to tell you that you can't judge on other people's sign language or how their facial expression. Everyone has different signs.

Any men can be feminine in their sign language as we do admire his sense of humor. I am surprise to see you complain how he looks the way he signs. Ugh! Sounds like you were purjudice against feminine men. Be careful what you have a judgement on other people's sign languages. You need to learn to accept for who they are.

I am so glad that Roger involves in vlog to explorse to the hearing people. Guess what, my hearing colleagues love that vlog so much. It helps their visual development in asl with facial expression.
