Hi! I'm new here but I thought that by joining this online community I could improve my fluency in ASL and my understanding of Deaf culture. I have been taking a class at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia for the past two quarters and I enjoy it a lot. My teacher is Ray Bateh and he's great. Sadly, I can't take ASL 3 next quarter because my high school classes prevent me from being able to get to the college at 10 am. I hope that I can make friends on here that can help teach me some more.

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. Just enjoy browsing around the threads and posting here. See you around here.

hi there! i am in Winlock WA. bout an hr south of you. i was taking ASL at Centralia College, but wasnt able to continue. have you gone to the deaf coffee house at the mall there? i have gone to that before. its a great way to practice and asl students go to it to practice. i am deaf and enjoy going to sign with newbie signers. theres no pressure if you mess up on a sign everyone very kind and patient there. hope u enjoy alldeaf! its a great place, some people can be alittle snappy but most are very warm and welcoming! have fun!!
