Hearing Aids users

I wear my single HA (BTE) for work , and if I'm going out with my family or friends. That being said, it's the last thing I put on in before leaving the house, and the first thing I take off as I walk in the door. There have been a few times that I tell my co-workers that I'm going "OFF" for a bit ( meaning I'm taking my HA out) ... somedays I just need a break from hearing - luckily my co-workers are pretty good about it 
I have a love/ hate thing with my HA - it makes it easier to hear in small groups, but it doesn't help with large& noisy situations ( which I always knew would be the case)
Of course the up side, is people can see my BTE and "get" that I'm hoh. The downside ... a ton of people seem to think that HAs "make me hearing" :|
... I still prefer ASL over the whole 'hearing' thing.
