Hearing aid for 2 yr old with unilateral hearing loss?

Just an FYI, here's state-by-state hearing health insurance mandates regarding hearing aids for children and/or adults. I'm very lucky to live in NH, which has some of the best insurance coverage for hearing aids for adults (up to $1500 per hearing aid every 5 years):

In the USA hearing aids would be covered from birth to 21 under the federal law. IDEA

the beeping, it's always a good thing to have especially for volume change and low battery warning :D

overall love the wind chime/piano jingle, makes every day and peeps happy.

I can't stand beeping sounds on anything and I saw no needs to have my HA beep when I turned the volume up or down , I do agree the beeping for a low batter warning it helpful . I love being able to hear the birds singing when I have my HA on and my granddaughter's voice.

We're lucky as we live in the UK, so in theory the NHS will cover the cost of a HA. I might just need to persuade the audiologist to try it, so it's really helpful to have some stories of personal experience from other people to give me the confidence to push for it.

Many thanks to everyone who commented!

In that case..... DO IT! It can't hurt and most likely will help! You can get a cool colored aid and bling it out! Sorry.... thought you were in the states. The good news is that most unilateral kids can and do thrive very well with a minimal accomondations approach, like the typical HOH interventions that you would do if your child was bilaterally HOH. But the key is to get those interventions into place first.

I wonder of they do bling earmolds in UK. Here www.westone.com is a big manufacturer of colored earmolds. They have catalog online. Also most hearing aid companies offer their devices in color.
Canada did an ad series to improve perceptions of hearing aid users called "I wear Earwear" to make them a fashion statement like eyeglasses.

I always got positive comments on mine when I had them. My glow in the dark ones were very cool

Where are the colored earmolds located? I don't see them on the page.
