I almost was going to buy the dvd at Walmart tonight...but I saw there wasnt closed caption icon on the back of dvd...also it says french/spanish subtitles...

I was afraid to buy it and if it turned out with no closed caption... :Ohno:

So, I decided not to risk buying it...perhaps I could rent it...:dunno:

Have you seen it yet? Does it have closed caption on dvd?? Thanks!

Yes it has closed captioning ....and I saw it .... I thought it was an okay movie... it was good though. Not exactly my kind of movie but it has many parallels to the Holy Bible, come to think of it. More of a children's movie like the Lord of the Rings.

FYI SDH symbol is Closed Captioned

SDH subtitles
"SDH" is an American term introduced by the DVD industry. It's an acronym for "Subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing", and refers to regular subtitles in the original language where important non-dialogue audio has been added, as well as speaker identification (useful when you can't tell from the picture alone who is saying what you see as subtitles). The only significant difference for the user between 'SDH" subtitles and "closed captions" is their appearance, as traditional "closed captions" are non-proportional and rather crude, while SDH subtitles usually are displayed with the same proportional font used for the translation subtitles on the DVD. However, closed captions are often displayed on a black band, which makes them easier to read than regular DVD subtitles. DVD's for the US market now sometimes have three forms of English subtitles: SDH subtitles, straight English subtitles intended for hearing viewers, and closed caption data that is decoded by the end-user’s closed caption decoder.

Anyway, Big thanks! :D

I bought it but haven't see it! Ummm it is good idea to give my 5 years old to watch that? If not, then I need to take it out of his Easter basket and get another movie. Let me know soon! Easter's coming! :thumb:

YES! Just lastnight! It does have CC. I hate the fact they put for the hearing impaired~they should change that. Anyhow awesome, awesome, awesome it was. My middlest is watching it again before school. My 3 year old watched it, she LOVED IT! I don't know what people were talking about how it's not apprioripate for certain ages. :dunno: But anyhow she loved it, and was on the edge of her lil seat all night long.

I think I am going to buy it for my middlest for Easter. She has asked for it anyways.

Oh, yes I've seen it. It was really good. It's somethin' that will give you more pleasant to watch. :)

Yes, I've seen it too, and I really enjoyed it. :) And, yes, it is closed captioned. :)

Believe it or not...my son DO NOT WANT it since he got it for Easter! So I haven't see it yet. I will probably on one of the rainy days. :)
