As the subject line says have any of you bought from the new sponsor "Hearing Aid Battery Shop"? I ask because, if I am following their pricing list correctly, they are about 1/3 the cost of what I would pay locally even on sale. I am concerned about their offer being "too good to be true".

I am in the same boat. I want to do a "bulk" buy but am a little skeptical. Sure would like some reassurance before making a "bulk" purchase. We have a lot of hearing aids in our family.

How much are they listing the aids for? How much do you pay locally? Which size do you use?

I buy my hearing aid batteries online in bulk. I check out to see who is on sale, so I have bought from a couple of different vendors. (None were ever the Hearing Aid Battery Shop, though.) Frankly, I have found the quality to be about the same among all. The only problem I notice is then when I do too big of a bulk buy, by the time I'm getting down to the last few packages, they are getting old by then and don't seem to last as long. So I've made my bulk buys smaller as of late. Just food for thought in terms of quantity.

I usually get them in 24 packs from Walgreens. They are usually about $13 for that 24 package for the 610's I use (brown).

I've never heard of 610s, are they a new HA battery?

We have multiple hearing aid users too, and I get 60 Power One batteries from ebay for around $18, no matter the size, as we use different sizes.

We have had very good luck with getting good batteries with good expiration dates that way.

I just wish there were more folks that uses 675 that I use locally that are willing to do bulk and split it in half. Much easier/cheaper and faster to "use up a bulk pack".

Nope, I get mine at costco 40 675's for 9.99....plus tax ;)

although I guess that is kind of bulky, I'd go through them faster if I wore my left one more often.

All hail the mighty Costco!

:applause::applause::applause:

You know you ain't walking out of there with only hearing aids batteries if you go to Costco. We spend WAYYYYYY too much money there. We freaking love that store too much. I have a love/hate relationship with Costco.

duuuuuude it's literally less than 10 minutes from my apartment, I have been known to go there and just get milk and bread lol, cuz it's that mych cheaper :D Get my batteries for the xbox controllers there too, goooood deal!!

I have it better (or worse)....my house is only 3.5 miles away from the huge Christiana Mall, and Costco is there along with just about every store.....and there is a Harbor Freight right around the corner too....and there are 4 Home Depots within a 10 mile radius too.....good news for us guys, but bad news for our wives.....

Anyway, I have been buying the iCellTech Cochlear 675 batteries from localbattery.com, as they cost less than Power Ones, and are pretty damned reliable. (can't use regular 675's in CI's unless you don't mind the 5 hour life)

All with in the same shopping area for me is The Mall, Coscto HomeDepot and Best Buy are all right next to each across the street from the mall, Pet Smart, Wallmart....The Golden Corral lol, there's an HGGreg and Michaels there too but I rarely go either. Mostly Costco and Walmart, go to each every week almost, first Costco (and get my gas there AND it has a liquor store heehee) then Walmart, put a cooler in my trunk during the summer to put the frozen stuff from Costco in while I'm in Walmart ;)

In Costco I just avoid the middle (clothes movies books) and the right side (electronics and appliances etc) I found I do not get distracted and buy crap I don't really need if I don't even go over there and see it with my greedy little eyes.

anyway lol and the bolded seriously!?!?!? OMG if I get a CI I def need that better paying job at the spa I want lol It's a bit of a rub isn't it? Okay we have this lovely little hurdle in life already not being able to hear, so let's just make it super expensive to be able to get over that hurdle!! Life just ain't fair is it?

I like to think of it as the price to pay to keep hearing people from completely rejecting us....

And, yes, what a pain. 2 CI's, two batteries each, usually lasts 1.5 days if used all day, which is 4 batteries every 1.5 days, so I go through batteries like toilet paper.

Thankfully Cochlear now has rechargeable Lithium batteries that I can put on the charger every night.

And, oh yeah, Walmart rocks. We have three nearby, one is the 'ghetto', the other is the 'redneck', and the best one is the regular...but it takes 25 minutes to go there. I can wear dirty, greasy clothes and blend in easily.
