3) They need to respect our privacy and stop using the post office to get our addresses. IT IS HARRASMENT. I DO NOT LIKE WEIRDOS COMING TO MY DOOR.

4) You Jehovah's Witnesses are crazy not to accept blood or other blood products/byproducts. If my life hung in the balance and depended on blood or blood products or byproducts, I would accept it! Fuck, I have had several major surgeries and there's no knowing what could have happened in any of my surgeries, and no I am not talking about just my CI surgery, I am speaking of my other major surgeries too. What about those that need organ transplants in order to save their lives? Such as liver, kidney, or heart? I don't care what the so called good book or whatever the hell it is you use says. I DON'T CARE, period! If you do not accept blood, blood products, or byproducts, then you are neglecting yourself or your child. YES, I call that child neglect. If I was a doctor in a hospital and if my patient was a child that needed a new heart or a new kidney or a new liver, and his or her parents wouldn't allow it due to religious reasons, I WOULD CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES and I would go to court and petition the judge to take the child out of the parents' custody for the duration of the treatment. I do not care if you don't want blood, blood products, or byproducts for yourself, but you SHOULD NOT DENY YOUR CHILD TREATMENT AND THE CHANCE TO SAVE HIS OR HER LIFE! END OF STORY.

7) You don't celebrate holidays. I feel sorry for your kids when they are singled out at school because they are not allowed to partake in xmas parties or birthday parties or other holiday parties. They feel left out and singled out. I remember when I was in elementary school, there was a classmate, Naomi, who was NEVER allowed to partake in such parties due to her family being JW's. She felt SO left out and she was ALWAYS sad, she felt singled out. She missed out on the fun. She always cried. What is SO wrong about those holiday parties? At least they aren't shooting up heroin or snorting coke. It's JUST A PARTY! Eventually it got to the point where all the teachers couldn't stand not letting her take part in any of the parties, and began letting her take part in the parties. Poor girl.

8) You do not accept divorce. What if there is spousal abuse? And divorce exists for very good reasons.

And xmas doesn't neccessarily have to be celebration of the birth of "jesus"...for me it is not about that. To me xmas is just about being with family and loving one other and having a nice time and taking a break from the everyday grind of life. What is SO wrong about that?

Thankgiving, even if we give thanks everyday, still exists for a reason: family and relatives and extended family coming together to have a good time, especially when they live far away from each other and haven't seen each other for quite a while. It's also a nice break from the everyday grind of life. What is so wrong with celebrating seeing your family you see only 1 or 2 times a year due to distance?

WTF? So we make mistakes, but that's LIFE. We grow and learn and we learn from our own mistakes. So, if you get divorced, you are a single person the rest of your life due to religious beliefs? Fuck that!

I couldn't agree with you more as to the effects a bad marriage has on children... let me clarify though... in our religion your ARE allowed to separate (without divorcing), but you can't live/sleep with someone else unless you're married to them, and you can't get married unless you are divorced to the first person... but there are only certain grounds for divorce such as abuse/cheating... so basically if you don't like somebody you can't get remarried (or at least we advise you not to), but if you have a REASON to be divorced then you CAN get remarried (we aren't cruel, obviously you can get remarried!)

Hey, we don't feel offended when people reject our message either, trust me it happens alot... it is kinda offending when people hurl lies and insults and threaten your health and safety though. And just so you know, I don't knock on doors that have "day sleeper" signs either, and neither do many of my friends. The majority of JW's START preaching around 9-9:30am, which isn't THAT early, and VERY RARELY do they go door to door after dark, we have to look out for our OWN safety with angry people out to get us you know.
