Have anyone dog bite you?

I am not scare of any dogs .. expect Pitbull heck no way!.. I am still go ahead near my mom's boyfriend's dog hehe
 
It is rare for dogs to snap over nothing. It's the same with people, they don't just go into buildings and start shooting people for no reason. There's usually factors leading up to the attack; signs can be found if they know what to look for. Unfortunately, most pet owners are not educated on how to detect the signs of aggressive/mental problems. Everything happen for a reason. Like with your recent story regarding the unfortunate dog attack inflicted onto your nephew, I don't know nor do you know the whole story behind what happened to Kalista. The dog may had a mental disorder but isn't commonly diagnosed by veterinarians because they usually don't study the mental health of canines and felines.

This girl usually hugged tight and slept with this dog. The dog gets using with this girl for four years. No one know, how it snapped really fast ! It potentially occurred to any children from the dogs.

How would we know if the dog has mental problem? Psychologist can't communicate with the animal. Weird :) That would be a nice if, they do sufficient study more on animal's mental health... What are the difference between the canines and felines ? We can choice a right dog for safety at home with the young children. If we have sufficient evidence that dog is match for the family or not.

Having to deal with getting attacked, the doctors and stitches, and then having the dog put to sleep. Akita's are tough dogs. We'll never know why the dog bit her. We forget that dogs are animals. Sometimes they do things we don't expect.
 
I haven't been bitten severly yet by a dog but sure, I've got some nibs which is better than being mauled.

Don't forget, we are also animals. After all, homo sapiens (human beings) were involved in 17,638 homicide cases in the USA back in 2003.

We aren't that different from animals. We are still barbaric.

Deafmonkey, do you have pepperspray with teargas? If not, buy some and use it before getting bit again. That dog will not bite you and, if owner sees it, they will get mad, but heck, you just saved yourself from a dog bite. Next time you get bit and the owner tries to walk away, call the police and report it.
 
I appreciate your kind thoughts and your prayers for her. She IS getting better, but not as quickly as we would like. She's just a child and doesn't understand why the dog she loved would hurt her.

They didn't tell her that the dog was put to sleep. They told her she went "away". Better she doesn't know. She feels bad enough.

Anyway, thanks for your concern it was very sweet of you and so typical of the caring person that you are.

no need to use pepperspray.. the dog just scare and bite that is all .. my mom and her boyfriend trainning his dog oh yeah .. but the dog just scare in dog's mind dont know what to do and bite that it cause the dog just moved in my mom's home with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was live alone with his dog that didnt bite other people till moved in my mom's place last year it start bite other ppl so my mom or her boyfriend scold and trainning their dog. The dog dislike it when the owner trainning to said something from my mom or her boyfriend. My mom's bf's dog just getting old only 12 yrs old and had lump in dog's neck. the owner doesnt want to give his dog have operate cause he doesnt want his dog goes died. He rather keep him alive till died. He loves his dog very much.

other dogs already said sorry to me that they didnt mean to and put leash on and put the dog inside.. Now the dogs from outside havent bite me since from 1997. just my mom's boyfriend's dog bite.

my cousin's dog isnt live with her anymore that she give away to her boyfriend's friend that it. Cause it is not good idea go near her kids so she give away to adult only not the kids.
 
I had first dog bit in my face above my lip when i was 18 months old. My parent's cock spainel dog was old age and becoming mean...
 
I had dog bite me in the face when I was like maybe 4 or 5 years old because I blow at the dog's face then the dog bite me back at the outside in the backyard. I can remeber what kind of dog is but I think it's a black dog with long noise and pointing ears, u know.

ohh :) .. I do that to my mom's dog Kali which Kali dont like it when I blow her nose or face that she turned her head down away from me of blow lol
 
I'm sorry about those five dogs bit you. We have to take extra precaution with all dogs everyday! All dogs have sharp teeth and they can bite! ;)

There are many ways to avoid getting bite by a dog. Never run away and turn your back to the dog that tried to charge you. Also, always keep your face out of the dog's face! Never dare to let them get closer to your face except that dog is yours!
