Has your partner ever get jealous of your relationship with your (or his/her) pet?

I thought of this, recounting my relationship episodes.

I slept and embraced with my ex's dog pet on couch instead of her bed back in the old days. Kristine was pretty furious about this.

Maybe some of you might find this funny.

How about your story?

Ha ha not exactly the word "jealous" in my own list. My hub loves to sit in the sofa watching tv with kitty sitting on his lap. He likes to be quiet and no talk except kitty is allowed to talk (meow meow meow) when tv is on. for me, I love being around four kitties in the early morning. I can give each of them my attentions, feed them and feed them some special treats. that is MY morning HOUR.

No, my husband and I are pretty much equally dedicated to our dogs. Now that our children have left home, I think the dogs are kind of child stand ins! :P

Really good question, I've had friends jealous of my old cat. I would talk to my cat and my friends would be like "he's just a cat"

Then I'd say "no, he's not JUST a cat, hes my child and hes talking to me."

Those who's never had a pet would never understand that bond we share with animals. I feel closer to animals than I do with most people, and most warm up to me pretty quickly . My girlfriend's cat instantly bonded with me. Every morning he likes to talk and I'd talk back to him like I'm listening, he loves it :)

98% of the time, my doggie goes with me wherever I go....People have just said..."it's just a Dog! Leave her at home"....No way, Jose!....And like Ladysolitaire....my doggie does "talk to me"...so does my Cat...who has just began to run to the front door even before someone knocks.....(if he can beat my doggie to it first).....

And remembering an ex who said..."It's me or the Dog!"...and I said..."there's the front door"....

I haven't had an issue with pets in a relationship but I can imagine it happening. If, in a serious relationship, the pet (either theirs or mine) consistently received more attention and consideration than I did, I'd be out of there.
