lets write haiku! I'll start off with two:

a warm cup
aroma of coffee
eyes wide open

alarm went off
autumn filled morning air
go back to bed
 
That isn't a Haiku poem.

A Haiku poem require 3 unrhymed lines of 5, 7, 5 syllables.

Here's one I made up,

hand in my pocket
looking for the missing keys
to unlock the van
 
The only problem
with Haiku is that you just
get started and then
 
Well I dunno what Haiku is. What is it? I can't make up a poem if I have no idea what it's supposed to be about or anything.

Yey! I love haiku. I'll post some later. For now here is a good link to rules of haiku (which I don't always follow) for those of us who aren't sure how to write it. Keep'em comin'
Haiku Rules
 
two fuzzy ears twitch
in the spring evening glow:
a sigh, stretch, and purr


sleeping in a booth;
a summer song of stabby
playingat the Mel
 
music late at night
everyone' pink and grinning;
noon shines through the blinds

wet nose in my ear;
puppy dreams of canal runs
snoozing through the day

sweet kitty kisses
purring on my pillow case;
together we sleep
 
Okay, this is my last post for awhile. It's just that I'm totally addicted to message boards and this is the best haiku EVAR!

Pabst makes my ass smell
Don't know why I drink it still
oh yeah, fuckin broke
