As of now, there's been 16 deaths related to the H1N1 virus in my home state...I know this because victim # 16 was my sweet oldest sister. We buried her last week. I'm still in shock.

I confess that I thought the whole swine flu epidemic was blown out of proportion by the media. Yes, it's "bad" flu just like any other flu strands, right? Dead wrong...and no pun intended.

If you might have the H1N1 virus, STAY HOME. Get well before you infect more people. You might save lives by doing so. I sure wish whoever gave my sister the virus had stayed home. She'd be alive to share leftover turkey recipes with me right now.

H1N1...it's no joke.

Indeed sorry to hear of your sister's passing as a result of H1N1.. yes that is no joke regarding the H1N1 flu, having claimed some folks here in Canada as well as over the world... indeed a sad day for sure... my condelences to you, Deafbajagal...

Yes, everyone at my house had the vaccination. I have a child with asthma and we always get all flu vaccines asap.

Seasonal, but in Iowa they have just now gotten to my group, which is high risk with asthma. They have been unavailable.
 
omg!!! my deepest condolence.... and no I don't have my flu shot.
 
So sorry for your loss. Words cannot express how sorry everyone is. I did not get flu shot, I had H1N1 about a month ago, nasty flu. My whole family got it.

There isn't enough vaccines to go around so only those in "high risk" group can get one. Also im still researching the risks of the vaccine itself and how efficient it is, some say 50-70% reduced chance of getting the swine flu.

My deepest condolences for your sister. Was she in the "high risk" group? How did the virus claim her?
 
Oh no,..I'm sorry about your sis and she's good spirit goes into heaven..

Yea, I have flu shot every yearly in fall season. I haven't get H1N1 flu shot yet. they're out of stock at my PNC or PNMC-Methodist. I have to wait till the mail letter comes in to let me know.

I alway stay home.. not much outings and mostly use computer or xbox360 game or on tv.
