I'm going to take a wild guess and assume diehardbiker had something to do with it. It's a shame because clearly you were not trying to put people down.
 
Will they ever unlock threads once locked?

The idea being could the lock be reversed if enough of us asked?

Sometimes, after a post clean-up, they are re-opened but it's rare.

Asking for reversal doesn't work.
 
So sorry... Your thread really got derailed big time :(.

As Reba said- it's really rare that any threads are unlocked- maybe you can plead your case? I thought this was a great thread TBH.
 
There are two guys fighting at bar, the bar closed for a while until everything is cleaned up and is in control, then bar is open again. That seems not in case here in AllDeaf :lol:
 
Yeah, looks like the whole oppression thing that Diehardbiker started got your thread locked. :( It was a good thread until he jumped into it with that.
 
Jeez...our opinions come and go....feel it's good to express them and not oppress them....:lol:...not everybody thinks the same...and (of course)...we're not children here.....don't feel we're trashing AD like the McD's guy trashed Mc'D's!....Would be a very boring Forum if everybody had the same opinion....:hmm:

First of all, I find one AD member insulted me, thinks I have mental issue and asked me to seek therapist or something. That person DEFINITELY is the one that needs help!

I was merely share what I learn from RIT on Deafness and ASL, only to get flamed, that leads to lockdown on your thread.

Secondly, if I was the one that caused problems, why am I not banned?

I don't know what happened to you but you seem to be quite angry. I think you would benefit from some therapy, Diehardbiker.
certainly from talking to some professional, as you seem to have unreleased anger, probably due to your deafness and how were you treated because of that.
I am very sorry for whatever happened to you as it seems you were treated badly.
I urge you to seek some help, please. Go to your dr and ask to refer you to psychologist near your area.

It appears that this member feel sorry for my Deafness, no no... I feel sorry for their inability to accept their hearing loss.

I know about oppression but you got derailed into another comment about spoken language on ASL. I was shocked what you said. You have to remember that we don't use our voices to speak while signing. ASL is visual language. We don't go for oral method in the public places. We sign only with voice off. Everything need to be visual, not using our voices. I don't know where you get the idea from RIT on Deafness and ASL. That does not seem right to me.

You must have been misunderstood what they said at RIT. I think they wanted to say that they are fighting for their d/Deaf need rights. They can use placards or banners to announce for their Deaf rights. This is totally different thing. Maybe that is why it was locked, I think.
