Great Day Out

WOW ! That is really cool looking ! It's that from nature or man made ? It looks like is natural . I am talking about the tree , I didn't see the river when I posted this.

Yes its natural, its in a flood area, looks to me like termites hollowed it out or maybe carpenter ant? Really cool looking inside and its big inside, I would think 6 or 8 adults could stand in there comfortably.
 
Wow! They look like they could belong to fairies if they weren't so big. Maybe even some sort of Forest creature - if you're into fantasy like I am.

You guys look like you had a great time fishing! That river looks beautiful :eek:

Its the Meremec River, we were up river then moved down river because the current was too fast in the first area at Minnie Ha Ha park in Fenton Mo, then we over to Arnold under the bridge where the current slowed but had a ton of boat traffic all the sudden so we left after an hour. Some people left before us when we arrived, they left behind a rod and reel, being they didnt return and it was getting busy I went head and picked it up, they left the line out and baited which is a major no no. I just got my license for the year since we will be camping and fishing this summer ( I will have my son for the entire summer til school starts again ) So we both got a great dose of Vitamin D today...lol

It looks like a great place to have small party for kids . :)
 
Yup, the tree is about 50 feet from the bank.... close enough to cause alarm. A child can cover a good distance is a short amount of time if distracted.
