Grave diggers use skull as bong

HOUSTON -- A teen who admitted he dug up a corpse to use its skull as a marijuana bong is to spend 240 days in a county jail, a judge ruled Monday.

Kevin Wade Jones, 17, was arrested on one count of desecrating a corpse in May. Matthew Richard Gonzalez, 18, and a 16-year-old boy also were are accused of digging up the skull of an 11-year-old boy buried in a cemetery for African American war veterans and using it to smoke marijuana.

Police say the teens cut the jaw off and wrapped it in electrical tape to make a bong.

The boy had died Sept. 11, 1921. His skull has not been recovered.

Judges have yet to rule on the other two teens involved.
