10 YEARS?? Comon!!! What about al queda guys who behead innocent americans what are they gonna get? What about the al queda guys who burn an innocent man off the bridge and threw him off what are they gonna get? I think this guy should not get anytime in prison. What about that shoebomber who was gonna blow up the airplane and kill 300 people on board what have they given him huh?
What about that 20th hijacker what is he gonna get huh?? Something is wrong with our justice system Its a frigging joke!

Steve....I agree with the sentence, although I'm sad that it happened to begin with. You can't compare him to Al Queda. The difference is this is what makes us Americans and them Terrorists.

This is so nice. Ravensteve has said that Americans should be allowed to rape, torture, disrespect, demean, and just plain be mean to prisoners WHO HAVE NOT BEEN ON TRIAL.

Heck, why doesn't someone falsely accuse Ravensteve of being a white terrorist, put him in jail right now, kick his butt, and see if he's singing the same song.

All someone has to do is fake the evidence that you somehow looked like you were worshipping Allah, right? You're innocent, but no one cares, because you're in jail and you deserve it like all the other so-called terrorists do. THINK AGAIN, MAN!

Justice prevails in this case.

The problem I have with conservatives is that they don't seem to have any compassion WHATSOEVER.

Now, before you start screaming "liberal" at me. Let me tell you, something, Steve. I believe in cap punishment. When it's applied CORRECTLY. I believe in locking up criminals and throwing away the key. But, also believe that each case needs to be examined, and each case, judged by it's own merits. You can't treat each case the same. Circumstance is what makes each case unique. Judge everything on the merits of the facts and then, determine what should be done.

That's what I believe, anyway. But, to bring the post back to topic, I can't speak to it intelligently, because, I don't know all the facts. However, if he was adjudicated guilty, then, he deserves to pay for what he did. Nobody deserves to be tortured and abused. It doesn't matter who they are.

Because with a guilty verdict will only prase victory for al queda you got thenm exactly what they want you to do.What george bush just did was gave al queda confidance that they can walk all over americans and kill them and you cant touch the arabs and they can do anything they want. But when you send an EYE FOR AN EYE message to them then youll make them mad and theyre still continue to fight. Look how israel treats P.L.O Prisoners they dont give them what they want and an israel soldier is always jusutfied what he does to the P.L.O soldiers plus an israel soldier will never be found guilty for his actions on the P.L.O conflict. Suppose if the israel soldier treats those prisoners with shame and and abuse sharon will not court martied them. Isreal military is very strict and very tough and they do not have any remorse on the actions they take. Message is very clear to P.L.O you harm us expect the samething after you.
 
I agree with Oceanbreeze here, Because nobody deserved that kind of punishment, no matter who they are like she says and she is correct on that.


Graner was accused of stacking naked prisoners in a human pyramid and later ordering them to masturbate while other soldiers took photographs. He also allegedly punched one man in the head hard enough to knock him out, and struck an injured prisoner with a collapsible metal stick.

This is unacceptable, It should never happen.
 
Any form of torture is totally unacceptable. ravensteve, God and Jesus are against that kind of stuff. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Edit: If we did that then we are no better than terrorists.

If we do the same stuff as the enemies do the stuff to americans, then WE are the enemies.

We are trying to be the good guys here...we should treat our enemies with respect when they are in prison...just to give them food and water and then decide what kind of punishment the prisoners should get and it doesn't have to be toture or anything like that...that's not what we americans would do, because we aren't like them. We can't always use violence for everything just because of what they done to us, and you would only make things alot worse than it ever was. Everybody dies, but doing the same things as they did to other people just won't bring them back...it would only make things worse, thats all.
 
Tell that to senator John McCain who was a POW and tortured buy the vietnam soldiers in 1967. Tell him that we should not embarass and torture iraqi prisoners see what he he`ll tell you.

To be honest, some of the Vietnam soldiers came to our high school before, and alot of students have "booed" them. I was surprised at their reaction. But, There are people out there do not agree with what happen in Vietnam. Sorry buddy. :)
