Both of you don't understand about background of republican party, especially, Liebling don't live in America.
There's some democrats are selfish as well.

States have rights to reject because of high spending and wouldn't help to shorten the recession.

See red and blue bond...

Red Bond - Don't forget that Brad is an American and live in the USA. He knows what he is saying. You know what, I agree MOST of his posts.

Blue Bond - Don't forget that I involve with Americans in real life and watch US polities on TV everyday...

"Gov. Mark Sanford told the U.S. Senate Republican Caucus Wednesday that they should reject the federal stimulus plan or risk putting the country in a worse position."
Sanford urges against bailout plan

Those are not selfish words. Gov. Sanford wants to protect his state and nation.

How? You know that many US citizen voted Obama and hope he give the better life. What would US citizen reacts if Governor Sanford reject Obama's plan because Obama did gave them hope? Do Sanford beleive that he can help US citizen and improve his state without take money from Obama's plan? How?

I just read local newspaper today and our state governor will reject on part of stimulus.

More money for our state to take. :)

We are taking all of the stimilus money for our infrastructure and if your state doesn't want it because of some Republican ideaology--we'll gladly take it!

I understand perfectly well.

What I do not understand is why people continue to elect the Republicans, especially when they decide to put their ideology ahead of the well-being of their constituents.

This is not the time for partisan hijinks and if the Republican governors reject that money, they are putting their own future re-election bids in jeopardy, which is fine with me.

And putting their people in jeopardy as well.

Exactly. If we cut taxes, there will be less money coming in. If we use the stimulus, we'll get into debt more.

There is NO easy solution here.

Well, I think stimulus money comes from the federal bank....which means they print money and we loan that money plus interest we have to pay back in generations.

IF they cut taxes, just like Brad said....and it's not gonna help to pay it back quickly. I believe there is no easy solution to paying back the total debt we have in the US from the years.

If we had tax rates like in Sweden or similar....maybe we would pay it off, probably. Their infrastruture are in great shape because of high taxes to keep up with mantience and repairs.

I just find it ironic that a non-American involving with our politics and not so much with German politics, if she wants to involve it more...then move to the US.

If we cut taxes, the wage earners will have more of their pay checks to keep and use the way they want.

Reba, Foxrac, etc. and I are Americans and we live in USA too. Why is Brad's post more valid than ours?

Simple - Brad and you are ultra-Liberals. That's why you agree with him. Sorry but Europeans need to stop trying so hard to liberalize America so here's my friendly message to European liberals -

again - that doesn't mean 100% of his ideas/policies are the perfect solution. It's ok. I know you don't understand. No wonder your country made fatal mistake twice - yes the same mistake that caused WW1 and WW2.

funny thing is.... let's look at Texas and California. Both are major economic states. Texas is a Republican state and California is a Democratic state. Guess who's very broke? yep - California. what gives? :dunno:

As an European and a foreigner with a strong interest in American politics. Europeans and Foreigners do have a right to their opinions and also express support for Obama what and how he want to better relationships with America and many countries around the world as a peacemaker.

The reason Europe and the rest of the world find themselves so concerned with American politics is because of war and economy.

As long as US presidents don't mess around is okay with many countries around the world. If yes, it becomes our concern/issues, too.

Take a look at a mess being caused by former president Bush. How many innocent people including children killed in Middle East countries?

Anyway this Forum is the public for around the world to view and share the POV. Alex welcome the people from around the world to register his Forum. If you don't like what you read then this Forum is not right for you. Don´t you know that there´re freedom of speech?

I thought you are open minded and accept foreigner´s view on US polities but I´m wrong about you... *shake my head disappointing*

I´m sorry that you don´t like that I agree most of Brad´s posts.

I am going to report you on Admin. and moderator for your troll and provoke posts...

Well, Leibling....If you really want to involve in US politics, you really should go to the US and involve with the politics...you sound very interested in it. Many people who are very into politics usually go involve with the politicans. You should do that, but it's up to you. You talk a lot about them all over Alldeaf. You might get a better idea about them if you involve with them closely.

troll and provoke? I will report you to Admin and mods as well. You continue to provoke us Americans with your baseless accusations and Anti-Americanism comments with no proof. I continued to prove you wrong and even Obama Administration is on my side... and yet you continue to ignore us and accuse us of wrongdoings.

Please leave American politics to us. If you have anything constructive to contribute, feel free to share and to debate with us. You need to look very hard at your own action because you are biting the hand that feeds you.
