Google Street View

Wow very freaky with 3D picture. I had a look at my home. At least it doesn't give out the correct address number. By the look of the picture it looks like it been taken around about March to June 2008.
 
I found my home on this, but I had to go up the street about fifteen numbers to find it. They have the addresses wrong in my neighborhood.
 
Searching for my parents' address gives a street with a similar name in the wrong county. Searching for mine gives the nearest end of the street near the pizza place.

They have Street View in my parents' town but not on their road because it's a dead end dirt road in the country. There is no Street View in Vermont yet. If you zoom out with Street View on, it shows blue areas where it's covered. It should be interesting to watch how the coverage expands.

There's a little bit in Alaska around Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, some in France and a bit in Italy near France. In Japan, there is some coverage around Sendai, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. In Australia, it's on the eastern and western coasts and a bit in the center.

Yup, I am still waiting for them to update my parents house area. that probably wont happen for many many many years. lol.

You can eventually find your house in 3D yourself. Some random people find random photos where house is on fire, people flashing their breasts, people walking in scuba suits.... and a dude lying on the grass, drunk.

Are you referring to Street View or Satellite View?

If it's Street View, then they focus on the major cities. I don't know if they will do the smaller cities. After all, there are thousands of cities out there.
 
The bird's eye view is available for RIT and my parents' home. I can see pine trees in the woods by my parents' that I never had seen before. :eek:
 
Well, I've never seen this! I got my house on there. I've been scanned! :shock: But it is outdated, though. :wave: Thank you for the link.
